Introducing Mild Mayhem Michael.

We  have a child that has HIGH frustration tolerance.  He just keeps trying and trying and trying and doesn't give up.  He practices his PHYSICAL and Mental skills,  honing them in...

Building strength to climb on the coffee table so he can POUND on the HD TV?  Yep, he  mastered that!

Take apart all his toys that have batteries.  Fling them all over the house and keep repeating?  Yep, he has mastered that.  He can even put them back together IF he wants.

Complete now ALL the puzzles on his tablet by himself?  I didn't think that would be possible for a long time.  I guess I need to look at his uncles and realize that Michael may have some advantages :0)

Figuring out Child Safety locks....  Most of those are a joke now.
He is even taking off his diaper and letting you know he needs changing...

Running anyone over with his walker or just bashing them in the leg until move out of his way?  Yes, he doesn't hurt you but hits you and then yells the protest.

He has started the Toddler temper.    His lung capacity is the same as any other boys when he is protesting not getting HIS way.
Basically things are going as normal.  May be a little speech and walking delayed but have no doubt those will come in time as well.

It is hard to explain the difference a special needs child brings to your life.  What we just took for granted and celebrated as a parent with the older boys is magnified since we didn't know if Michael would get there.  Like I said.. It is just hard to put into writing the difference but it is there and every day I smile wider. Every day we celebrate life.  We hope for a cure before that is taken from us.  We don't wait.

  1. Wow, you are going to need loads of energy and patience! Toddlers are such a handful, but it sounds like you have the right attitude and are are enjoying it. Keep on keeping on!
